An atomizer coil is also known as an atomizer head, or a replacement coil. This is a part of your electronic cigarette’s juice tank that heats the liquid and makes it into vapor. These parts have three components – there is the casing, coil, and the wick material. Whether you have a single coil or a dual coil, they are going to need to be replaced on a regular basis.
Replacing Your Coil
Several factors affect this, most notably how heavily you vape and the quality of your coil. Another factor is the level of acidity in your juice – such as in fruit flavors – and the more vegetable glycerin in the mix the more often you will have to replace the head. If you are a new vaper, the most important step may be speaking to someone at your local vapor shop about which replacement coil would be right for you. Here are simple instructions on how to go about replacing your coil:
Unscrew the tank from the battery.
Unscrew the cap from the bottom of the tank.
Unscrew the head from the cap.
Screw the new coil onto the cap.
Refill the tank with juice.
Screw the cap back onto the tank.
When to Replace
Typically, the first sign that you need to replace the coil is reduced electronic cigarette vapor production or changes in flavor that can’t be put down to the batch of juice. You may even inhale juice instead of vapor if the coil is in poor enough condition. Once you replace the coil you will notice a huge difference in the quality of your clouds, not to mention the flavor and enjoyment you derive from your favorite juice. If you are choosing to give someone a starter kit for the upcoming holidays, you may also want to give them some extra replacement coils and show them how to change them out.
